This is more than a job; it’s a career that supports people to live life to the full. We are looking for resilient and friendly Support Workers to join a team that works in partnership with people who use our services, to enable them to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community. As a Support Worker you will encourage the health and well-being of the people that you support, through enabling them to be involved in a range of activities chosen by the person supported.

We work with each individual to develop interests and goals, activities that the people supported enjoy are;

Long walks and map reading

Attending drama sessions and going to the cinema

Bowling

Shopping

At Autism Initiatives we work alongside people with autism, providing specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion for providing person centred support as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.

In return, we will provide you with ongoing training and development, including supporting you to obtain your Diploma Level 2 qualification in Adult Care.

This is a truly rewarding role, with the opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge and fulfil your career aspirations. Given the nature of this role, successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, the cost of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.

From October 2021 following Parliamentary approval and a subsequent 16 week grace period, anyone working in a CQC registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care, must have had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, unless they have a medical exemption.
