Butterworth Spengler Golf Day Success

Massive thanks to Butterworth Spengler for organising a fantastic charity golf day for us at the prestigious Royal Liverpool Golf Club at Hoylake on 30 May.

15 teams from businesses around the area played golf, took part in a raffle and auction raised an incredible £7,500!

The day was organised by Butterworth Spengler, insurance brokers who have chosen Autism Initiatives as their Charity of the Year.  72 golfers were on the course including our own Chief Executive Andrew Grainger and Deputy Head of Peterhouse School Calvin Wallace as well as local celebrities including Phil Thompson, Alan Kennedy, Neil Mellor and Vince Earl.

The money raised will purchase a bundle of IT equipment to furnish a classroom at Peterhouse School – a Smart Board, PC and 8 i-pads.  Peterhouse School is a specialist school supporting autistic children and has been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted since 2009.

The winning team included Liverpool legends Alan Kennedy and Neil Mellor.
