Santa's Dash to Support Autism

Posted on 11th December 2018

Autism Initiatives supporters took to the streets of Liverpool dressed as Father Christmas to raise funds in the city's annual Santa Dash event ...

Autism Initiatives had a fantastic day at the Santa Dash in Liverpool on Sunday 2 December.  We had 31 runners in our team with our fastest Santa aka Callum Wilkinson completing the 5K course in just 20 minutes!

Austin the Autism Initiatives Teddy joined in the fun and kept everyone in high spirits by High Fiving Santas as they ran past.  Austin really helped get the Autism Initiatives name about too as one lady passed us by and said “I can’t begin to thank you for how much you have helped my family”.   This means so much to us!

The team did a great job and joined us afterwards in All Bar One for a well deserved drink on us.

Ed Green, Community Fundraiser said “It’s a fab family fun run, we had people of all ages taking part, kids on scooters, babies in prams, some of the dogs were even in fancy dress and of course there are 6,000 Santas running around city.  It’s a brilliant atmosphere and everyone enjoys it.  Thanks to all our team for taking part and see you next year!”
