Primas Law - our tip top corporate supporters for this year’s Walk for Autism!

Posted on 9th May 2019

Autism Initiatives are glad that as well as being quality focused commercial law experts, Primas Law have always made the time for charity fundraising

Speaking at a previous event Daniel Thomas, Partner and Head of Litigation at Primas Law, said: “It’s one of our values at Primas to aspire to make a difference to our local communities”.

Alongside running a successful law practice, in 2018 the Primas Law team smashed the Wilmslow festive 10k raising over £1000 for the British Heart Foundation. So, of course, at Autism Initiatives we were honoured to find out they had chosen to take part in the Walk for Autism challenge.

Completing 10,000 steps each, the team walked over 1.4 million steps combined, which is the equivalent of walking from Liverpool to Cornwall, and back! They quickly became our most successful corporate supporters of 2019 and have deeply impressed us with their continued commitment to good causes.

Autism Initiatives is a very important charity to Primas law’s Managing Partner Adam Kerr and his family, so to hit their target the team squeezed in walks during lunch breaks and after work.  They completed the challenge with a blustery weekend walk along Crosby’s famous coast line with some of the Autism Initiatives team, and even chatted to members of the public about the work we do.

Primas Litigation Solicitor Lucy Nelson said: “The truth is we all know someone, whether a family member, friend or colleague who lives with some form of autism, but even today people do not know a lot about the condition. If we can continue to acknowledge and discuss people’s experiences, we will continue to improve awareness in our communities and work places.”

A huge thank you to the team at Primas Law, and to everyone who took part in Walk for Autism 2019 – together you have raised over £46,000 so far!
