Step Up and Walk for Autism UK and Ireland

Posted on 31st January 2019

Walk for Autism launched on the 15th January with people from all across the UK and Ireland stepping up the challenge to raise funds and awareness for autism ...

What's New?

This is the first year that primary schools can also show their support for autism by signing up to Schools Walk for Autism and we are delighted that so far 25 schools representing more than 7,700 pupils have signed up.

Schools receive a package of support when they take part to ensure that pupils finish the challenge not only more active, but also more autism aware.

It’s not too late for primary schools to sign up – please pass on details to any school you are connected to and help them to take the first step.

How's It Going?

So far 180 people have signed up to the main Walk for Autism challenge, which is a great start to our campaign, but we still need many more people to show their support and step up.

Have you signed up yet? Got your friends to donate money? Taken photos and shared on social media?

There’s still plenty of time to get involved. Simply register www.walkforautism.org.uk and receive our free fundraising pack, which includes a free pedometer and T shirt, and share the news that you’re walking for autism.

By walking just 10,000 steps a day for eight days you can help raise money that will help positively change lives for the better.
When: 26th March - 2nd April 2019 (World Autism Awareness Week)
Where: Anywhere you choose!
