VHI Woman's Mini Marathon raises funds for Autism Initiatives

Posted on 7th August 2019

This year's Mini Marathon participants helped raise an amazing €3,272 for Autism Initiatives Ireland

On 2nd June 2019 the 10 kilometre VHI Women’s Mini Marathon took place in Dublin. The Vhi Women's Mini Marathon, is an annual 10k charity road race, which occurs each June bank holiday weekend in Dublin and is the largest Women's event of its kind in the world.

We were delighted that two terrific teams and one amazing individual took on this running challenge to raise funds to support autistic people in Ireland.

Shannen Murphy from Dublin and Martina Madden's team from Causeway in Kerry chose to fly the flag for autism raising funds for our charity. While Anne Marie and Amy Sweeney's team decided to directly support our Tallaght Horizon's Day Service with their fundraising.

"A huge THANK YOU from all of us in Autism Initiatives Ireland – we really appreciate your help and support and the funds raised will be of great benefit to all those who use our services."
