Just four weeks into Walk for Autism 2020 and we’re delighted to report that 1,000 walkers are now set to step up to the challenge on March 26th.
Although this is brilliants news we’ve not quite hit the halfway mark on our target for this year’s campaign yet and so we are calling on more people to take the first step and sign up to support autism projects across the UK & Ireland.
Walk for Autism Walking Buddy Ed Green said: “We would like to thank every person who has signed up or donated to someone walking for autism – they are all truly amazing. We are over the moon to have reached the 1,000 walker milestone as we know that every step taken and every penny raised helps transform lives both in the UK and in Ireland. We would like to inspire more than 2,600 people to Walk for Autism this year as this will mean that we are able to fund even more autism projects.”
Walk for Autism is a 10,000 steps per day, 8 day challenge which runs from March 26 to April 2 this year. The campaign raises funds for autism projects in the UK and Ireland as well as raising awareness of autism in communities and schools.
