500 Walkers Already Stepping Up in 2020

Posted on 30th January 2020

We're celebrating as we reach 500 sign ups for Walk for Autism 2020

With 500 signups under our belt, it’s exciting to see Walk for Autism connecting with people around the UK & Ireland.

But this milestone is just the start of a 2020 campaign which we hope will be much bigger, and we need to carry on working hard to reach our target of over 2,600 walkers taking part.

Since we started, our Walk for Autism steppers have raised more than £60,000 enabling autism projects across all countries in the UK and Ireland to go ahead.

Fundraising Manager and Walking Buddy Liz Oakley said: “We would like to thank everyone who has stepped up to the challenge, or donated to someone else who is walking for autism. You’ve all helped to start something big and meaningful. Every step taken is a big step forward in both autism awareness and for the amazing projects your efforts fund.”

Walk for Autism is a 10,000 steps per day, 8 day challenge which runs from March 26 to April 2 this year. The campaign raises funds for autism projects in the UK and Ireland as well as raising awareness of autism in communities and schools.
