A message from our CEO, Andrew Grainger, to all our stakeholders:

Posted on 27th April 2020

In light of current circumstances I would like to reassure all the people that use our services, and their families and carers that Autism Initiatives vital services remain open and active. We continue to be well-resourced and have undertaken detailed planning over the last few weeks with a focus on the following priorities:

  • Ensuring that we have as many staff as possible available for the people that we support
  • Continued focus on reduction of risk of infection
  • Keeping up to date with the latest Public Health guidance and commissioner requirements
  • Ensuring staff teams feel supported while undertaking their duties
  • Enabling and supporting office based staff to work from home

All the offices across the Autism Initiatives Group are closed or staffed with one or two people to allow access if needed, and we have transferred all our infrastructure to home working. If you do need to contact an office you can phone your usual office number, where your call will be diverted to another number, or in the case of Head Office we have physically moved the reception switchboard, and so you can phone and expect to have your call transferred to whoever you may need to speak to.

I would like to thank all our fantastic employees and supporters for the resilience and commitment that they have shown and continue to show to the people that we support, with an awareness that they do so against a backdrop of concern for their own health and families.
