Message from our CEO, Andrew Grainger

Posted on 24th June 2020

Further to my last message regarding Autism Initiatives response to the Covid 19 pandemic, I would once again like to assure all our stakeholders about our strong commitment to keeping people supported and safe.

Alongside this, in an ever-changing situation, we are continuing to provide support in new and innovative ways. For example, our schools have remained open to autistic children, providing stability for pupils and their families during this unusual time. When pupils couldn’t attend school, we have brought the classroom to them via video conferencing. Staff have also put in place a series of robust measures, which follow government guidelines, to ensure the safety of everyone on site as more pupils return to school.

We continue to provide PPE to all staff who require it and communicate clear guidance and support in order to reduce the risk of infection and to keep people safe.

All our staff continue to show how resourceful and resilient they are, often going above and beyond the call of duty throughout all our services in the UK and Ireland, to ensure that people supported continue to have the best quality of life during this different and difficult time.
