Staff Soar to Success in Apprenticeship Standards

Posted on 17th June 2020

Autism Initiatives is proud to announce that eleven of our staff working towards the Apprenticeship Standards have completed with Distinction, which is the highest grade possible. An impressive achievement at any time, but even more so as nine of these qualifications have been achieved during the lock down period.

Here at Autism Initiatives, we would like to say “Congratulations” to each and every one of them. Since joining our teams each of them have exceeded expectations in terms of their commitment towards both their roles and their courses.

The Apprenticeship Standards were introduced in April 2018 and require staff to successfully complete a Diploma RQF qualification Level 2 or 3 in Care and Functional Skills in both Maths and English.

Autism Initiatives is committed to supporting the continuous professional development of its staff, a commitment which has not wavered during the Coronavirus pandemic with standards remaining as high now as at any other time.

Sandra Johnston, Head of Learning and Development, said: “We believe that The Apprenticeships Standards, as a whole, have proven to be more than successful in providing our staff with knowledge based and vocational skills that compliment our own unique autism specialist training. We are delighted that so many of our candidates for these qualifications have received Distinctions and feel this reflects accurately their commitment and the quality of their work.”
