We Still Walk for Autism

Posted on 18th March 2020

As Walk for Autism is an individual steps challenge it will be going ahead

In light of recent concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to reach out to our community of walkers and fundraisers to send our well wishes to you and your families at this time.

As an organisation we are taking the issue very seriously and are closely following all government guidelines in the UK & Ireland, and are continuing to monitor the situation.

One of the great things about Walk for Autism is that you walk at your own pace, in your own time where and when it suits you.

In response to government guidelines we’re advising against people getting together in groups to walk.

Although officially Walk for Autism UK & Ireland takes place March 26 to April 2 those taking part are free to undertake their 8 day steps challenge at dates that suit them, and many are already starting to step up to the challenge.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind participants that they can walk as an individual, anywhere, whether that’s your local park, or even at home.

So far, we’ve received a record number of sign ups and raised more money than ever before and together, we can make a real difference in supporting those with autism and their families.

We appreciate your support and commitment at this uncertain time and we are always happy to answer any additional queries that you may have.

You can still sign up for Walk for Autism up to 20th March 2020
