Highland One Stop Shop set to host November fundraiser and open day

The Highland One Stop Shop (HOSS) invites you come along this November for a fantastic Fundraiser and Information Open Day. The Friar Street service will be ready to welcome visitors on Wednesday 1st November, from 11am – 3pm.

The event will offer the chance to find out more about the service and how the team support autistic adults. Visitors will be able to look around the building and speak to the team about the array of groups and activities available.

As well as offering information, the day will raise vital funds for HOSS, allowing the team to continue the amazing work they do. The fundraising stalls will display an assortment of crafts and gifts, which would make perfect stocking fillers this festive season.

Stalls will feature handmade candles and crochet crafts, beautiful paintings and artwork, and charming cards and trinkets, many of which have been lovingly handmade by people who use the HOSS.

Not forgetting, there will be books available written by the people who use the service, as well as plants grown at HOSS over the last couple of months. The community at HOSS are looking forward to displaying their hard work and will be grateful for all support and funds raised.

If you are autistic yourself or have an autistic family member living in the Highlands aged 16 and over, please pop along to this open day event to find out more. The team also welcomes support from the wider community, including any friends and family who may wish to come along with you and browse the stalls, or keep cosy with a hot drink and snack.

Autism Initiatives’ One Stop Shops support more than 2,700 people each year, offering support and advice for everyday life.

One person who has used the services shared: “It has been a lifesaver. I have met new people after being isolated for years.”
