Still time to gear up for Cycle for Autism 2023

Posted on 27th June 2023

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or casual rider, Cycle for Autism encourages everyone and anyone to take on the summer challenge and use their pedal power to fund autism projects

Registrations are off to a flying start, as the fundraising team prepare to pick up the pace during the riding week. The challenge is set to start on Friday 7 July and will come to an exciting finish on Friday 14 July.

Marking the third year of the campaign, Cycle for Autism 2023 will see hundreds of people gear up to raise funds for autism acceptance and understanding in the UK and Ireland.

You choose your own distance and pace and every turn of the pedal will take you closer to your target.

Cycle for Autism Fundraising Manager, Liz Oakley said: “We’ve updated Cycle for Autism for 2023 to enable even more people to use their pedal power for good. Instead of a set challenge, those taking part can now select from a 10km or 80 km challenge, or set their own distance. The main thing is to take up the challenge and complete it whenever suits you within the cycling week.”

Not sure if you’re ready for the challenge? Cycle for Autism is an inclusive event, offering riders the chance to complete their rides at any time or location including on exercise or spin bikes indoors. You may wish to split your cycling into short distances, or test your limits with a longer ride. Every pedal turn counts, so tracking rides using a Fitbit, smart phone or pedometer can help you manage your progress.

The Cycle for Autism team are dedicated to supporting riders throughout their journeys. Participants will receive branded Cycle for Autism t-shirts when they raise their first £20. Plus, the campaign’s helpful Fundraising Buddies are on hand to cheer everybody on and offer advice in the fantastic Facebook Group.

Registration for Cycle for Autism closes on 2 July, so don’t miss the chance to register online today. Not forgetting, if there’s a query you’d like answering, our FAQ page is there to help.
