This service supports people with autism to live life as independently as possible. Individuals have their own flats or houses, and the reassurance that onsite support is on hand should they need it.
Supported living can be ideal for people who are no longer going to be living with their family, but who need regular and substantial support.
People are supported in making choices about their day-to-day living. Individuals can be supported in their personal care, as well as with accessing community facilities and with their budgets.
When Tim started living in one of our supported living flats he said,
“I found shelter under the Autism Initiatives umbrella. I can look forward to the future now.”
Supported living
For some autistic people, they need to live in a home where help is constantly on hand and where they can find stability and reassurance.
Our residential services provide a complete and holistic service including accommodation, activities and care support.
These are real homes and we are proud that our first home still has the same three residents it had when it started.
Lee is in one of our homes and said,
“It changed my life forever.”
