Making a Positive Difference!
Each day I come to work and get to see Service User’ progress and achieve their goals
Our support teams are filled with talented people and Lorna is no exception. Lorna says:
“I am a Senior Support Worker in one of Autism Initiatives’ supported living services in Armagh and became part of this team in September 2018, after leaving a teaching career. I was looking for something that would allow me to have a work-life balance and remain close to home whilst continuing to feel like I was making a positive difference to people’s lives. I have been able to do both of these through working with Autism Initiatives.”
“Each day I come to work and get to see Service User’ progress and achieve their goals. I feel privileged and go home each day with a sense of pride, knowing that I have contributed to something meaningful and supported another person in such a way at they are able to live more independently, can achieve new things and are able to rise to new challenges and set new aspirations.” “The team of people I work with are absolutely fantastic and I have met some wonderful colleagues and friends through working for Autism Initiatives and I look forward to meeting some more!”Expression of Interest
