Support Us in Scotland

More than 1 in every 100 people in Scotland have Autism ... find out how you can get involved

Autism Initiatives UK was founded in 1972 by a mum who couldn't find the support she needed for her son.  Now, nearly fifty years later, we support more than 3,000 autistic people and their families across the UK and Ireland.

Autism is a lifelong spectrum condition which affects each person uniquely and for which there is no cure.  Due to this it is vital that each autistic person gains support tailored to meet their needs, which is why Autism Initiatives takes time to understand each of the people we work alongside and how they are affected by autism.

In Scotland our services include three One Stop Shops for Autism located in Edinburgh & The Lothians, Perth & Kinross and Highland regions.  One Stop Shops provide free support, training, advice, social and developmental opportunities for autistic people.  They are a vital lifeline both in times of crisis and in working alongside autistic people to help them achieve their ambitions and fulfil their potential.

We know that many of our supporters would like to help make positive change in their local area.  So, unless you request otherwise, any money you raise in Scotland will stay in Scotland and will make a real difference to the lives of autistic people and their families.
