A bustling, award winning social enterprise café that provides supported work placements for young autistic people. A great, friendly atmosphere and delicious food are served every Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
Established in 2010, A Great Little Place was set up by Autism Initiatives to host supported work placements for autistic people to improve their employability whilst serving up delicious homemade food, freshly bakes cakes and barista coffee.
In 2018, we relocated this very popular small café to a much larger site within The Atkinson on Lord Street in Southport, a beautiful and creative arts venue in the heart of the town and have seen the business grow from strength to strength.
Part of the community
In 2023 we were judged to be the best café in Southport as voted by Southport BID which all the team are very proud of. This excellent café is always busy and customers return over and over again enjoying quality food and cakes that are lovingly made in-house and are displayed for all to see! We are lucky to have extensive kitchen facilities allowing our dedicated and creative team to create delicious daily specials.
