Whether it’s better understanding autistic customers, or benefitting from the many strengths autistic employees can bring to your workforce, our specialist workplace training opportunities bring with them the opportunity to improve business practices.
Our courses are developed and tailored to the needs of your organisation. One popular objective we help meet is to increase your understanding of autism and autistic employees’ needs. Improve your knowledge of how to embed reasonable adjustments within an organisation and ensure you are equipped to meet legal requirements.
Workplace Training
In 2017, the UK government pledged to support sustainable funding for apprenticeships, encouraging younger people to take them on and promoting them as a viable way of entering their chosen industry. As part of this strategy they established the ability for organisations to donate their excess funds from the government’s apprenticeship levy fund to support apprenticeship training in charitable organisations.
Autism Initiatives have been grateful to receive levy fund gifts from a number of corporate supporters including Excelcare and John Moores University. If your organisation would like to support us by gifting us levy funding please get in touch.

If your business is interested in promoting autism understanding and acceptance, please get in touch and someone at Autism Initiatives will be able to advise on your next steps.
Like many large employers, we pay the Apprenticeship Levy but cannot spend everything we put in. Rather than see that money wasted, we have worked with the Combined Authority to facilitate this transfer of funds to Autism Initiatives, who will be able to benefit from the creation of 44 new apprentice care workers.
