A Great Little Place hopes to retain title of ‘Café of the Year’ in 2024

It’s time to cast your vote again in Your Southport Stars Awards 2024. Hosted by Southport Business Improvement District, the annual awards celebrate the positive impact of local businesses across the Southport community.

Last year, A Great Little Place was delighted to be awarded ‘Café of the Year’, and the team are excited to be nominated again for 2024. Hoping to retain their winning title, the social enterprise looks forward to attending this year’s awards ceremony, which is set to take place later this spring.

The public vote invites the Southport community to choose from an array of local businesses across 12 different categories. Voting is currently live here and is set to close on 5 April 2024.

A Great Little Place is one of Autism initiatives’ best-loved social enterprises. First established in 2010, the café has become a hub of the Southport community, welcoming loyal customers to enjoy homemade food and barista coffee in the stunning surroundings of the Atkinson.

Proud to display the slogan ‘great coffee, great food, for a great reason’, the café works alongside schools and education services to create work experience and employment opportunities for young autistic people. The experience gained at A Great Little Place has been described as “life-changing”, and the team are passionate about the difference they make.

In 2023, A Great Little Place received thousands of votes from the public and encouragement from customers. The team are so grateful for all of the support shown over the years, and would greatly appreciate your vote in this year’s awards to help them retain their winning spot.
