Autism Initiatives’ social enterprise in Southport is proud to launch a new online ordering system, aiming to make seasonal produce more accessible than ever.
Nestled in Churchtown, We Grow Co. is a flourishing social enterprise established by Autism Initiatives charity in 2012. The market garden sells a wide variety of local produce, whilst providing valuable outdoor work placements for young autistic people.
With the launch of its budding new website, the social enterprise is now ready to take its growth to the next level.
We Grow Co. has proudly partnered with Growing Good to create a smoother system for online orders. Customers can now visit http://www.wegrowco.org to create an account, customise veg box orders, and choose a delivery day that suits them.
The website also offers collection options from multiple pick-up points, ensuring that customers can tailor their experience and reduce their impact on the environment.
The small but mighty market garden grows an array of vegetables, herbs and fruits, alongside a happy flock of free-range chickens. The garden turns food waste from Autism Initiatives’ social enterprise cafés and farm into nutrient-rich compost, helping crops to thrive sustainably.
Since opening in 2012, We Grow Co has become a staple of the Southport community. Some of the garden’s best-loved boxes include the Cluck & Crop Box, Fruit Boxes, Plant-Based Boxes, and a Zero Waste Box, which fights food waste by rescuing surplus produce.
Daniel Curle, Social Enterprise Manager at We Grow shared:
“Working closely with local growers we’re improving our local offer and building a transparent, resilient local food system… plus, you can always drop by our shop on Radnor Drive to say hello and browse our fresh offerings!”
Thanks to the launch of the new website, We Grow is now ready to welcome even more customers, with the option to collect orders from pick-up points outside the garden’s delivery radius.
Daniel added:
“The new online system has been a hit! It makes ordering simple and helps us support more young people through meaningful work placements. With better planning and delivery, we’re growing a stronger, more sustainable food community that benefits everyone.”
You can visit www.wegrowco.org today to start your order of seasonal produce and to help support young people thriving through social enterprise. You can also step behind the scenes of We Grow Co. by following along on Facebook.
