The Lloyds Bank SME West Coast team has taken fundraising to new heights by completing an ambitious ‘Everesting’ challenge at Moel Famau in North Wales.
A dedicated group of up to 10 colleagues took on the steep trail, trekking from base to summit repeated times until they collectively matched the height of Mount Everest – an impressive total elevation of 8,849 metres.
With each ascent covering roughly 290 to 300 metres of elevation, the team logged around 30 summits between them to cross the virtual finish line.
The team raised an astounding £13,249 for Autism Initiatives. The event marks the latest milestone in a long-standing partnership between Lloyds Bank and Autism Initiatives.
From 2023 to 2025, the team successfully tackled their ‘Three Peaks in Three Years’ initiative, raising an extraordinary £50,585 to support autistic people and their families. Their hands-on commitment has also included volunteering at We Grow, Autism Initiatives’ social enterprise community garden.
Alex Middleton-Adams from Lloyds Bank shared:
“Over the past 7 years, the West Coast team at Lloyds Bank have enjoyed every second of working with Autism Initiatives.
It’s amazing to be able to support a charity that makes such a difference to the lives of autistic; some of whom we have had the privilege to work alongside on our volunteering days.
We would all like to extend a huge thanks to our clients and professional contacts who have donated so generously once again for such a worthy cause.”
Everyone at Autism Initiatives Group extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire Lloyds Bank team and their supporters for their incredible energy, dedication, and continued generosity.
